Home of all things pasta

1Heat the olive oil in a pan, throw in chopped onion and cook until golden.
2Add diced tomatoes and cook for 10 minutes on low heat, add a cup of water and cook for another 10 minutes.
3Add tuna to the sauce, season with salt and pepper and simmer for 5 minutes.
4Put the pasta into a large pan of salted boiling water. Cook as indicated on the package.
5Drain the pasta and combine it with the sauce.
6Serve with "shaved" Parmesan cheese and Basil leaves.
If you like pasta "al dente" you should drain the pasta a minute or two before the time indicated on the package.
I usually season the sauce with salt only and add the pepper at the end, but like this it will be a bit spicy.
You can peel the tomatoes before slicing them, unless you mind having tomatoes skin it in the sauce.

This is my go to recipe when I need a quick meal. Perfect and nutritious. Always do have tomatoes and tuna at home, so whenever I need a quick menu I do this kind of pasta.
