1Peel and dice the pumpkin.
2In a skillet warm the olive oil and add sliced onion. Cook until golden.
3Add smoked bacon and cook for a 2 -3 minutes, then add diced pumpkin and a cup of water.
4Cook for 15 minutes, stir often, add water when necessary and beat with a wooden spoon until fluffy.
5Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil and cook the pasta as indicated on the package.
6In a small bowl beat the egg yolks and the parmesan cheese.
7Take the skillet off the heat when the sauce is ready, drain the pasta and mix it with the sauce.
8Add the eggs and Parmesan mixture and toss well.
